Almost every behaviour problem we see in adult dogs - anxiety, reactivity, poor lead manners - is easier to prevent than to fix. A puppy that learns toilet training, socialisation and calm household manners in the sponge window rarely needs a behaviourist later. That is the whole point of these consultations: one fun, interactive session now instead of years of frustration later.

PUPPY BEHAVIOUR CONSULTATION - $350 INC GST IN PERSON, OR $300 BY VIDEO CALL
For puppies up to 16 weeks. A fun, interactive session of 2 to 3 hours in your home covering toilet training, socialisation, chewing, jumping, barking, mealtime manners, leash training and basic obedience - plus how to recognise the early signs of anxiety and aggression.
PRE-PUPPY CONSULTATION -
$250 INC GST
Before your puppy even arrives. We review your home and lifestyle, from the backyard to the living room, talk through breed suitability, and plan the best way to introduce your puppy to its new environment. 1.5 to 2 hours, in person or by video call.
How a puppy consultation works
This is a fun, interactive session, not a lecture. Over 2 to 3 hours in your home, Jo works hands-on with your puppy while teaching you the psychology behind each behaviour - so the whole family knows exactly what to do long after she leaves. Above all, you learn how to be a good fur parent and build a bond that lasts.
Afterwards you receive follow-up notes and homework to keep everyone consistent while your puppy practises. And like everyone who trains with us, you are a client for life with a lifetime of support - as your puppy grows, we are here.

Day 1, or as early as possible. The first 150 days are when your puppy learns fastest, so the sooner we build the right habits, the less there is to undo later. We work with puppies up to 16 weeks in these consultations - older pups move to our adult dog training and behaviour consultations, and it is never too late.

The ones that matter most are the early signs of anxiety and aggression - and they are much easier to spot when you know what to look for. Many behavioural challenges can start within the first 7 days of a puppy arriving home. However, most families think it's normal puppy behaviour. Teaching you to recognise those early signs is a core part of our puppy consultation, so you can act while your puppy is still in the learning window.
