Size Guide
Standard size (1.4m) is recommended for small to medium-sized dogs.
Large size (1.7m) is recommended for dogs with larger heads when the slip lead is being used as a head halter. This size is best suited to breeds such as Great Danes, Rottweilers, Mastiffs, or dogs of a similar size.
How it works as a slip lead
When used as a slip lead, it sits high on the dog’s neck, under the chin and just behind the ears. The adjustable toggle helps keep it securely in place, preventing it from sliding down to the lower part of the neck where dogs are strongest and communication is less effective.
This higher position helps provide better guidance, greater control and a more comfortable walking experience, especially for dogs that pull or become easily distracted.
How it works as a head halter-style lead
As a head halter-style lead, the Aussie Slip Lead uses gentle pressure across the bridge of the nose to help guide and settle your dog. Unlike many traditional head collars, it pulls from the centre at the back of the head, keeping everything neat, balanced and comfortable.
This makes it a great option for larger or stronger dogs, as it reduces pressure on the neck while still giving the handler calm, effective communication.
